Barielle Shades, Diamonds Are Forever / Nail Polish Review & Swatches

Hello everyone! Joy of your nails is here!
I stumbled upon to a great deal on a small online beauty shop. I bought two of these Diamond Series of Barielle half of the original price. I have never tried Barielle’s nail polishes before. So I can tell its been a great surprise because they turned out to be extremely easy to apply, fast drying and fabulous!

Left ===> Right

  1. Out-Grey-Geous, 5082
  2. Coalest Day Of The Year, 5105
  3. Platimun Ring, 5220
  4. Sterling Silver, 5221
  5. Starry Sky, 5222

This is a pretty accurate photo of the package. The bundle includes 4 colored nail polishes and a clear + silver glitter nail polish. I applied the 5th polish of the serie as a top coat to make them more fabulous. But still, I needed to apply my Glossy-Top-Coat as a finishing touch.

  • Out-Grey-Geous ( 5082 )

This is an ice blueish, shade-likely color. In the first picture you can see the first coat application on a Peel-off-base-coat. It was still not completely opaque after 3 coats and I believe it is more than enough. This isnt a wall to paint furiously. Those are my preccciooussssssss… ehem ! Precious nails! I still liked the shady shade. Actually I think it is intended to be non-opaque. Because half of the pack is opaque and the other half is on a low saturation

  • Coalest Day Of The Year ( 5105 )

The black shimmer is something I cant resist. It is the savior of every occasion. Almost every black shimmery nail polish is incredibly easy to apply. It means no brush lines and it saves a huge time during a rush. I still had to apply 3 coats, this is the second shade-like shade of the box. But I loved it. When I applied the silver-glitter on this black / blue shimmer, the name of the polish literally popped out! Dont you think it looks like snowing in the middle of night?

  • Platimun Ring ( 5221 )

This silver, platin nail polish is completely opaque in 1 coat. It is so easy to apply I will almost call it chrome. I applied 2 coats because I still got a couple lines to hide on my nails ( permanent old nail biter damage remains ). I have to admit the silver-glitter polish is like a fairy godmother who makes everything fabulous she touched.

  • Sterling Silver ( 5221 )

Yes, this is the cold-hearted b*tches color. It seems….. intimidating? I dont know what the hell is it but I liked the slightly-impossible-to-describe color. It has kinda green or yellow pigments. It looks like oil but it is surprisingly opaque too. 2 coats of course.

Finally I applied them on each finger side by side for you to compare the colors easly;

I can definitely say I would buy more product from the brand Barielle. The quality of the products amazed me because you know, these colors are dangerous and hard to produce and apply as they should be. Barielle got a 10 points like Gryfindor!

I am so excited ( because I am a 5 year old), because I got another set of Barielle to review, and it will be on my blog in a couple days.

Thank you for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed this post and I would like to hear from you!

Keep in touch,

Mani Of The Day, Pink Ombre Nails + Smashed Fairy Top Coat

Hello, is it me you’re looking for?🎶

Even if not, you should be! Because I got some pretty “pretty” nails here. Did you ever worked for an hour on your nail art and it turned out to be a mess made by a 3 year old? The color is not opaque or somehow it turned out to be different than your expectations? I am sharing every single nail artists (professionals or amateurs like me) Big Secret! Apply a shimmery, glittery top coat to fake it !

In this case I was ment to show you some of the perfectly opaque nail art line of Flormar. But I end up here, hiding mistakes and giving the community’s darkest secrets like a traitor. Psssst! Yes you can draw with acrylic paint on your nails, and act like you can draw perfect lines. Because it is possible to scratch the acrylic paint without harming the base+polish+clear top combo! Dont let other nail bloggers know I shared  this or I am dead.

So, I intended to make ombre nails alone. But I underestimated the opaqueness of the polish and ended up with over-high dark pink ombre. I applied a smashed-fairy-like polish on top, and the glossy top coat too.

This is the ombre process. You can see how the liquid latex of Missha becomes clear when it dries. Great news, it came in one piece.

These are the nail polishes I use in the process;

  • Flormar, Party Pop Full Color Nail Enamel / 03 Hulo Hoop
  • Flormar, Full Color Nail Enamel / FC39 Rooftop Part
  • Missha The Style, Crystal Nail Polish / K25M02

Wait ! I even made a complete look of this Dreamy Purple Glitter Polish. You will find a full coverage version of the polish in the link.

Aaaaand this is the unnecessary big crystal of mine… Because I am so fancy only a giant crystal could be a match. Of course not. I am just trying to get rid of my useless sewing crystals. This was not ment to be worn for a day outside. In fact, later that day I removed the crystal, fixed it with a patch and went for a dinner. But if you got small and thin crystals, you can wear them without worrying. Still, I recommend you to wear your crystals at home at least for a test drive. So you wont have to deal with sh*tty polishes in the middle of …. I dont know, modeling? Or changing diapers?

Anyway, I hope you like it. Thank you for visiting and please, feel free to contact for nail art requests or anything.

Mont Bleu, Glass Files, Classic & Swarovski & Everyday + Nail File Types / Now I Can Feel Fancy Even When I File Down My Nails!

Hello every single reader out there! Today, I am going to review a product so useful, I cant even start because of my excitement!

I was a nail biter. It has been 10 years since this journey started. First I was using my moms thin metal files. Now I know these files are a disaster. They are ruining your nails with the worst possible way; tearing apart your nail fibers. And if you are filing to the opposite way (when you file from bottom to top direction) you are creating a pressure on your cuticule area. This may cause cracks on the sides. I used these metal files for almost 8 years.

In the last 2 years, I found about paper files, buffers and glass files. I never buff my nails, but it is a gentle file so I was using this kind of buffers as a main weapon. But it was not enough. Paper files were almost created for travels only and buffers are doomed to an early death.

So when I heard about the glass files I was glamoured. Somehow I mentioned to my grandmother these glass files as a ” great, new type of invention”. She just told me she bought one from Amsterdam in the early 60’s. What a weird world. Where did those glass files went between 60’s and 2010’s? God works in mysterious ways!

Anyway, I bought a couple different brands glass nail files from some local makeup stores. They are good . They dont damage nails but it is taking forever to shorten all 10 nails! Especially my suspiciouslystrong-thumb-nails. Plus, I swear the surface of the files are like almost dissolving in to thin air!

Then, I did my research and found about Mont Bleu! This is a Czezh Republic based brand and their main product is glass files. Somehow I ended up on their Wholesale and Partnership Website. I got everything wrong so I sent an email to Mont Bleu in order to purchase as an individual (There is no sales point in my country). But the company was so kind they offered to send me a sample. I mentioned them about my blog and they also sent me a Discount Code to share with you!

They post it the next morning ! I am living in Turkey and its been only a week and I already got my hands on those sparkly files! I was expecting only 1 nail file because its not a sponsorship or review demand, it is a kind gesture of Mont Bleu. But there were 3 of them.

Two of them came in black velvet covers, except the travel edition which has its own plastic case. The blue box is not included to the delivery but again, this is a gift. So maybe they include some sort of box with your purchase. I honestly dont know but when I shop from Mont Bleu, I will write a new review.

As you can see, this is the fancy one. It is a mini glass file decorated with shiny Swarovski crystals. After I receive this package I went to their website and lost my mind with the prettiest designed files ever. Not to mention there are thousands of them! Crystals are remarkably sparkling and I loved capturing it. Attention nail artists or instagrammers ! You cant take a bad photo with these!

This is the handy classic glass file of Mont Bleu. I used this one to shorten my nails as a trial, but actually all 3 file is the same as material. Top of the file is glossy and smooth, so you dont feel uncomfortable touching it.

Guys, I believe this is going to be like one of my arms. Simple and a strong case to carry with you wherever you go! It doesn’t have crystals or any fancy parts but I believe files are essentials in a womans bag. And if you prefer glass files, you dont need to switch between different files and grow the damage. Because as you may have been experienced before, glass files are fragile.

* I used these awesome files during my weekly treatment. But unfortunately my tripod is broken. So I had to delay the footage of filing down my nails.  Since I am gonna use these glass files until like… mmm forever ? You are gonna see them a lot. I will write and upload a detailed “file them down” video / post as soon as I can.

*I think Mont Bleu is probably producing one of the best glass nail files around. You can see 2 different glass files in the first photo of this post. When I touch them I can tell the gap of quality between these two and Mont Bleu files.

* Usually, I use at least 3 different nail file to achieve smooth nails. And I file them very carefully. Still I was able to feel the damage. These glass files are some sort of  Czech sorcery. They are extremely sensitive to pressure! It took me  a couple sloppy strikes to get use to it. Voila, now you can shorten your nails without using that butcher-nail-clipper thing! And you dont even need to spend hours. If you want to smooth a tiny crack, you can still use these files. Because obviously alien tech. I dont think their surface will disappear like the other ones. They seemed durable if you dont drop it. Also, you can always wash it! Nothing is a big deal for this invention!

* From now on, I will be using these game changer nail files. It is a rare product reaching beyond my expectations.

Mani Of The Day / Rainbow Ombre with Liquid Latex

I am feeling like a fabulous parrot guys!

I got my Missha order this week and finally I got their new liquid latex product; Nail Helper. I didnt expect much because I watched a lot of unsuccessful liquid latex product reviews on Youtube. The cleanest results are usually achieved with Simply Peel by Bliss Kiss.  But this new Nail Helper is as good as the Bliss Kiss product.

I decided to go with the usual ombre theme, it is a great way to see if the liquid latex will peel by dabbing a sponge.

This is how you apply it. It becomes clear when it dries and it dries remarkably fast. The sweet light pink is easy on the eye.this liquid latex does not peel even when you dab a latex sponge! But it peels like butter when you pick it with an orange stick. It costs 2 $ on sale. And I am pretty sure this is the best deal you will across.

Look at those fancy color! They are  Flormar’s beautiful and extremely affordable nail polishes! I am soooo colorful!

I also used a quick dry top coat, plus another glossy top coat for that perfect shine!  You can read A Detailed Review Here.

Thanks for stopping by and keep in touch!

What You Should Spend Your Money On? / Nail Art & Nail Care Essentials / Spend Less For More

I am sure sometimes you just look at the screen and ask ; “How am I supposed to afford all that s*it you use?”. They use thousand products from thousand brands. Well, you are not alone my friend. I am currently living in Istanbul. 1 American Dollar is almost equal to 4 Turkish Liras. So when I buy a 20 Dollar item, it creates an 80 Turkish Liras hole in my wallet. And, International Shipping ( in this case shopping) Laws about liquids are very precise in Turkey. That means hell for a cosmetic blogger. Especially if you are a nail artist(ish). Almost everything is liquid. So usually I am not able to reach the products quickly (or never) when the brands relise them. Plus I cant try many boutique or small businesses because usually they dont even ship to my country. So if I put a product in my blog, believe me you can purchase it from almost all of the world.

I am personally interested in nail art and nail care since forever. Especially when I was still a nail biter. I am still struggling because after all these years, I am still picking my cuticles.

In my blog I use affordable brands almost always. Even for the essentials! It is all about research. I spend a lot of time discovering brands by google. I even send e-mails and ask for information if I need it. I learned from other blogs that people get paid to say nice things for products. Not reviews, paid good words! I want to say I am not getting paid from any of the brands I mentioned down below. If any brand pays me for something in the future it will be a review not a carnival of lies. These products are used and tested many time by me. I was using some of them even when I had no idea there are bloggers. So this is pure experience.

If you want your manicure to look professional, you need to own some basics. Its not always about abilities. The important thing is, you dont need to spend bags of money. It is 2017. Every country has its own brands on sale. It is important to find multiple items under one brands name. This way, you will pay less for more. All you need to do is research. In this post I am going to write about some affordable brands. Affordable and working as they supposed to be.

Currently I am using Sally Hansen, Burt’s Bees, Flormar and Missha. These four brands are all paraben-free. I know even the Sally Hansen and Burt’s Bees are pricey in some countries. But they are selling their products in stores almost everywhere. I use their products for Nail and Hand Care. You can check out my weekly nail care routine (what a cliche blogger!) Here. If it is pricey in your country and you think it is not worth it. You should check out Flormar and Missha.

Missha is a South Korean cosmetic brand. Their most strong line is Skin Care but, anything I bought from Missha, even a cotton ball or some nail sticker was amazing! You cant be sorry for purchasing from Missha. Usually their make-up and skin products are a bit pricey. But their Nail Products are very affordable. You can find every single essential item for nails. And they give free product samples with every purchase.

Here are some of the nail essentials I use,

  • The Style Lucid Nail Care, Pink Pearl Top Coat
  • Self Nail Salon – Care Look, Gel Top Coat

Shimmers are the magical work of Pink Pearl Top Coat. So beautiful it’s impossible to capture the real beauty of it. But the mirrory gloss? It is the Gel Top Coat. I cant let it go. One of the best I’ve ever used.

  • Self Nail Salon – Care Look, Quick Top Coat

You can see this great product in my every nail art post! When I tried this item first time, I used it after 6 coats of polishes. And I said “Meehh”. I cant believe myself! Be reasonable woman! But now I would use it as a wall paint dryer if they sell it in buckets. Thats how good it is.

  • Self Nail Salon – Care Look, Soft Matt Top Coat

I dont have many experience with Matt Top Coats but this will do the work. I made an egg test for you. You know, as in toothpaste commercials? Half of it is matt top coat and the other half is regular polish without top coats.

  • The Style Lucid Nail Care, Glitter-off  Coat
  • Self Nail SalonCare Look, Peel-off Base Coat

They are not glue based! Clear, quick drying bases. Peel-off named is the improved version of Glitter-off. But, in the brands website, they advise to use Glitter-off version if you want to keep the polish for a while.

You can see a Perfect Peel here.

  • Self Nail SalonCare Look, Nail Primer

If you got small bumps or lines like me, you will love this product. I cant even shower without it! It is literally a nail saver. I apply it before vacations so my preciousssssss nails will survive the hard conditions.

    • Self Nail Salon – Care Look, Nail Helper

This is a light pink, liquid latex product. It becomes clear when its dry. And the most important thing is you can peel it one piece! You can even sponge dab and it wont peel unless you pick it. I definitely loved it!

I always buy these items when they are on sale. So they worth approximately 20 Dollars. And they are the bones of my blog and my daily manicure I use for outside of course. These items make everything so much easier and your hands will look professional.

Flormar is the most affordable brand mentioned in this post. They dont follow the trends quickly but this is originally a Nail Product Brand. So they got an incredibly wide section of colors, different nail polish lines for many purposes. Prices are between 50 cents to 3 Dollars. Nail Polishes are so good most of them are completely opaque in 1 coat! Thats something you cant see often. And thats how you own many, good quality color options. I use Flormar’s nail polishes almost for all my nail art posts. And good news everyone they sell almost all over the world online. They got great deals from time to time, such as “buy 3 polish, a bottle of acetone is 25 cents” or ” free shipping”.

I also purchase my nail art tools from Flormar. Reviewed them before. A complete pack is 4 Dollars. If you got this pack you can create designs more easily. You should be patient, once you start with small things your talent will multiply.

I am not sharing any link to those brands because it may change for every country. But you can google them and it will bring the ones that sells to your area usually on top of the results.

I hope you find this post helpfull. If you got any questions, post or nail art requests, please dont hesitate to contact.

Mani Of The Day / Minnie & Mickey Mouse Nail Art Vol.2

Hi people! Yesterday I posted an easy, possible-at-home Minnie & Mickey Mouse Nail Art. It was not enough and I promised another piece of cake design! Hope you like it !

Dont worry if you cant make french manicure. There are multiple ways to achieve this look. You can use any sticky straight line sticker or you can fix it with a (in this case white) line as I do. These crystals are not designed for nails, thats why they are a little bit thick. Not gonna waste them anyway. But, if you dont have any crystals, simply put 2 white dots, or get creative and go wild with what you got at home.

Thanks for stopping by ! If you got any ideas please share!

Flormar Nail Art Tool & Brush Review and Some Mess I Made

Hello good people out there! I know you are good because I am sure you are gonna forgive my so called “nail art”.

I bought a Nail Art Tool Kit from Flormar. It is a non toxic good brand which specializes on nail products. They also produce make up products lately but I didnt try them yet. But every single nail salon in my country uses this brand if the salon is not a luxury one.

        1. The game changer cleaner. It is an angled brush which is very effective on cleaning nail polish remains from cuticules! Sorry I missed the middle finger.
        2. The small dotting tool. This is an essential item for nai art. Sure you can use a bobby pin but it is very affordable, easy to clean and you can manage painting small detail with this tool. I used this to create the flowers on my middle and pinky nails.
        3. A line brush.  Consumers are supposed to use this for long lines but I didnt like it. It doesnt hold the polish well and it is not easy to control the movement of this thin, long brush. The lines one my middle and pinky nails are made with this item.
        4. This is a fan brush. It is meant to be used for shimmer, glitter and powder products. But as you can see on my thumb nail. I used it to create a double sided design.
        5. I dont know what this is called but this brush is perfect for creating a texture by stamping it on the nail. I dont use the tip of course for this sort of effects, I use its side by pressing it. You can see the texture on my index and ring nail. I made some ugly pedals I guess.
        6. A simple thin brush to draw anything! I loved it! I used it to paint the white parts of the pedal on my ring finger nail. It created a more dimensioned flower.

This is my second attempt with the tools. I tried to create a painting here. Each nail is a part of a single image. I promise I will develop my skills and sorry about some messes I made.

Oooh! I can still see the little house and the clouds! It is not a perfect peel because the white polish I use as the base, is not a good quality product.

And additionally I wanted to share the napkin I used during the creation of this nail art. I dont know I just liked it!

          Thanks for reading me!

Mani Of The Day (Vol.5) / Flormar “No Uv Lamp” Gel System

          Hello again my friend!

Did you applied your nail oil after my reminder earlier today? If not, you can apply it while you read my simple but lovely nail art with Flormar / Up To 7 Days, Shine & Color.

I bought this a while ago and forgot it. What a regret!

Flormar, Up To 7 days / 027 / Mythical Tale

This is a 2 step product. But as some of you may know I’ve been using a Peel-off-base-Coat since I start blogging. Because too much acetone obviously damages my precioussss nailllssssss.

          • I applied 2 coats of Step 1 after my usual Peel-off-base-coat. This is the colored polish part of application.
          • Apply the Step 2. This bottle is some kind of thick, clear, gel top coat. Both polishes dries really fast. Approximately 3 minutes!
          • I use a thin brushes tip to paint the flowers.
          • Apply the same top coat. Not a different kind! I can feel its ingredients and textures are not the same as usual top coats so I wouldnt risk it.

This color is incredibly beautiful! It suits every season and shines bright like a diamond! I will definitely purchase other colors of this NO UV LAMP series.

But, I used a black shade of this product before I do this nail art / review and I can tell you there is no way it lasts Up to 7 Days. You can have 3 shiny un-chipped, perfectly-polished days. And they will look perfect for those 3 days.

I absolutely recommend this polish if you hate UV Lamps, and craving for that glossy, gel look !

            And The Big Finally!

It peels so much better if you wait long enough between coats and after the top coat.

Thanks for stopping by and please keep in touch !

            Bisoux,

Dont Forget To Oil Your Nails!

            Hello everyone!

I know this is not actually a long post but take it as an announcement. I will do this kind of scheduled memos in my Instagram account because we all forget to do so such things in the chaos of our daily routine.

Oil is the most important product in nail care. This way your nails will bend instead of cracking. Any kind of moisturizer will work on cuticles but you should find the most sebum likely oil for your nails to soak.It can be “jojoba” or “olive oil” based.

Thats how I keep my nails long! And I got a dog, a cat, a non-cooking husband. Also I paint and sew. These are hard work on nails. I watersoak my hands too much because of all of these factors. But as you can see they look long and at least acceptable!

You can find me as “maniwitch”.

Ps: I would love to hear from you. You can make request for “Mani of the day” subject and I promise I will do my best to achieve! Also I will be happy to answer any kind of questions or nail emergencies!

            Bisoux!
